Master's Recipes


  • 500 g diced kidney beans
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • Salt

For the above

  • 4 sprigs of parsley

Preparations of

  1. Chop the onion into cubes and fry in olive oil until golden brown. Grate the garlic and mix it into the onion.
  2. Add garlic and fry for 2 minutes. Dice the potatoes, cut the carrots into rounds and add to the pot with the kidney beans.
  3. Add salt, sugar and lemon juice. Add hot water and close the lid of the pot and cook on low heat until it softens and the water evaporates.
  4. Remove from the stove and let it rest for 15 minutes, then transfer it to the serving plate. Serve garnished with finely chopped parsley.
  5. You can serve red kidney beans with steamed anchovy. Enjoy your meal.
